We are into my second favorite period of the exchange: signups!

You are required to request at least three fandoms (and up to 10) and offer four fandoms (up to ten). You must offer two tags for each fandom (or "Any" if there are 0-1 tags in a fandom). You are able to request and offer up to twenty characters/relationships. If you request or offer "Any" it means "any character or relationship tag in our approved tagset", so please keep that in mind when requesting or offering. Requests are visible from the beginning, so you can offer confident in what will be requested this year.

Matching is OR. If you request a fandom and request two tags in the fandom (such as group: A/B, and A), your artist/vidder/writer only has to include one "set" (in this case, either A/B or A on their own). Please keep this in mind when signing up!

Finally, a reminder if you defaulted after the no-penalty default deadline in previous years, you have until signups close to finalize your makeup work and get a link mailed to me. You are not eligible to participate until you do so. If you don't know whether you fall into this category please contact me!

Hi there! I just made my sign up, and I wanted to let you know that it wouldn't allow me to request Rinoa Heartilly (Final Fantasy VIII), nor could I offer to write for either Rinoa or Squall Leonhart (Final Fantasy VIII). Both tags appear in the tag set. I have enough to request/offer without them, so I'm fine leaving them off, but I figured you ought to know!

Just checking - do you mean that when you were signing up, those tags didn't appear in the drop down menu? Or do you mean that the form wouldn't allow you to submit your signup when you had those tags in there?

The former is a known bug, which can be resolved by copying the tag exactly as it appears in the tagset. If it's the latter, I need some more information before I go to AO3. First up, which is it?

They wouldn't appear from the drop down menu at all. I didn't know I could copy and paste them in, though. I just tried it, and was able to add it to my offers. Thank you for letting me know and getting back to me! I apologize for bugging you for a known bug.
