I honestly wouldn't know where to start except Googling the names because, well, I already know the characters, alas!
The fandom.com wiki site will give you all the characters' canonical mentions, but that will include a blink-and-you'll-miss-it one-second flash of contextless picture on the screen, and appearances in non-game media, as well as their actual game appearances. That's potentially not going to be massively helpful and I wouldn't know where else to point you.
If you do decide to put the character/ship request/offer limit up to 20 - like I said in my previous comment, it doesn't fix the problem but it does basically make it so it more or less doesn't matter!
